Attend Rental Housing in the New Economy, the first conference convened by The Preservation Compact. Registration is open at www.preservationcompact.org/conference.The conference will include discussions on preserving affordable housing in strong markets, strengthening communities to preserve affordable housing in weak markets, expanding energy retrofits, recovering lost rental units in foreclosed 1-4 unit properties, and financing for multifamily housing, especially for buildings with less than 50 units.
The keynote address will be delivered by Richard Florida, author of The Rise of the Creative Class. We expect Dr. Florida to discuss the key role of affordable housing in an economically competitive region. The conference will also feature a report from the Bipartisan Policy Center Housing Commission, and Mayor Rahm Emanuel is expected to deliver the lunchtime address.
This will be a great conference for influencing policymakers, developing ideas, and networking. Attendance is limited to 250, so please register early at www.preservationcompact.org/conference.
