KISER GROUP’S RENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM – J&J Equities
Each month during 2021, Kiser Group will contribute $2,000 through its Rent Assistance Program on behalf of tenants in need to Chicago-area landlords or property managers for rent owed. Each month we will document how the money was allocated.
Rent Assistance Update
In the latest installment of the program, Kiser Group worked with J&J Equities, a Chicago property management company, to allocate $2,000 in rental assistance.
The property management firm shared in a statement, “It’s heartbreaking to see residents struggling due to circumstances beyond their control. Those who never missed a payment have found themselves in a very difficult situation, wondering how they’ll afford next month’s rent. Support from the business community like Kiser Group’s Rent Assistance Program makes a real difference in people’s lives.”
“Kiser Group has several charitable initiatives, but given the economic hardships people face as a result of the pandemic, we sought a way to get money directly into the hands of those who need it most,” said Lee Kiser of Kiser Group. “We realized our clients would know those most in need of help with rent, and we are grateful for J&J’s participation.”
J&J Equities Impact Story
After receiving the $2,000 rental assistance allocation, J&J Equities shared the following update:
“We applied the funds to the account of one tenant, an elderly gentleman whose health has been declining during the pandemic, and he was struggling to pay rent. This tenant lost his job due to COVID-19, but prior to December 2020, his rent was always paid in full and on time. He was so happy and relieved when we told him his back rent has been paid for by Kiser Group’s generous donation. He said it was like a weight had been lifted off of his shoulders, and he can now focus on getting better and back to work. You made a very nice gentleman very happy.”
